Mother Aids Daughter with an Illegal Abortion

A Nebraska mother plead guilty to assisting her 17 year-old daughter, Celeste Burgess, abort her 29-week old baby by purchasing abortion pills online. The daughter, who is now 18 years old, helped her mother, Jessica Burgess, burn and bury her baby in a Nebraska field later found by authorities. Authorities were able to obtain search warrant for the evidence detailing the entire plan that were published on their social media platform. The daughter will also be charged as an adult and could face up to two years in prison. Her mother faces one felony charge along with a few misdemeanor charges with sentencing scheduled for September 2023.
