The thing about topics like abortion and the desire to have a child murdered all the way up to birth is that when you open that door, you also open the door for other insanities that the movement desires to push. The Democratic Party is divided on the issue of parental consent in the decision for a child to seek an abortion.
Politico.com reported, "As legislative sessions come to a close, state lawmakers are divided over whether children and teenagers should be able to have an abortion without telling their parents."
The issue, in this case, is that you open a door for trafficking with no reporting, abuse of minors, and unreported pedophilia. In 2019, a teacher from Orange Park Junior High teacher was arrested and charged with impregnating a minor at his school (story here). This teacher would turn around and provide funds to have the student terminate the pregnancy so that he would not be suspected. The student turned to an adult afterward and confessed to the relationship and pregnancy. In the state of Florida, a child under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian notified of their plan to have an abortion (parental notification) and give their permission (parental consent) to have an abortion. If this requirement was no longer in place, then a child under 18 could easily be manipulated or threatened to have an abortion to cover up child sex abuse.
Let's have a conversation. Besides the fact that abortion should be unthinkable, should parents be informed of their children wanting an abortion?
